Success Story: Manmohan Singh Rathore’s story is told here. Manmohan considers Bikaner in Rajasthan as his home. His father, who worked in the Rajasthan Minerals and Mines Department, was a driver. Since childhood, Manmohan faced financial difficulties, yet he did not give up and focused on studies. He first studied at Government Higher Secondary School, Bikaner, and then studied 12th from City Secondary School.

After this, Dhungar College, Bikaner awarded him a BA degree, which is accepted by Maharaja Ganga Singh University. In the second year of BA in 2004, he was selected as a soldier in the Indian Army. Getting a job in the army is everyone’s dream and Manmohan also worked honestly. But in 2008, a major obstacle came in his life. His mother’s health started deteriorating; there was no one to take care of her at home due to his father’s deployment elsewhere.

Manmohan had to take the toughest decision of his life when he took over family responsibilities and left the army job. Struggle for a private career. Manmohan was also not considered eligible for pension as he had spent only four years in the army. In such a situation, financial crisis once again surrounded him.

After this, he started looking for a job in Delhi from Rajasthan, but he was unsuccessful. After IT training in Delhi, after some time of starting a job in the IT sector, he did not get the satisfaction he was looking for.

Jodhpur trip changed life.

A trip to Jodhpur for a family function changed his life. There he saw the art of Rajasthani artists and the strong business potential in this artwork. According to him, Rajasthani artists are recognizable everywhere and Manmohan started hiring such highly talented employees.

After studying digital marketing, Manmohan decided to launch his own web platform. He founded Craftether.com, a firm offering Rajasthani handicraft goods to the worldwide market by 2024. His company is now hiring people skilled in the art of Rajasthani artists. Manmohan says, “I feel proud when I see that through my digital platform, the products of Rajasthani artists are being sold in countries like America, Britain, Australia and the Middle East.”

Today more than a hundred artisans have joined his business, their products are being sold not only on his website but also on big sites like Amazon. This story of Manmohan tells that if one has courage and the will to work hard, then a person can overcome any challenge in life and inspire others.
