Success Story: Tree plantation changed the life of a farmer, know the whole story
Success Story: Since 2016, Raj Narayan Shukla, a resident of Rewa’s Duari Gram Panchayat, has been planting trees. Motivated by his father, he began planting trees. According to Raj Narayan, my Baba used to simply plant mango trees, but once I became involved in the Namami Devi Narmade initiative, I became even more motivated to plant trees that are both medical and sacred. I learned the value of the trees I planted during the Corona time when people used to come to my garden to pick bark, demonstrating the significance of trees in our lives. Additionally, according to Raj Narayan Shukla, I have planted around 700 trees thus far.
Raj Narayan Shukla adds that Indian culture has a centuries-old practice of worshiping plants and trees. Our ancient religious scriptures also speak about the grandeur of trees. There are guidelines for praying and honoring trees. Vedic mantras such as Aushadhay: Shanti Vanaspataya: Shanti are used to worship trees and plants.
