In the Lakhimpur district, farmer Girdhari of Badhunapur village switched from growing paddy-wheat to growing pumpkins, where he is now making a healthy profit at a reasonable cost. He is now making between one and one and a half lakh rupees a day growing pumpkin in around one bigha.

He Has Five Years Of Experience Growing Pumpkins

He said that he has been growing veggies constantly for around five years and that he makes a healthy profit from the crop. Selling it from the market to the retail sector brings him a higher profit. As a result, the district’s farmers are now growing pumpkins quickly, where they may make more money while spending less money.

Growing Pumpkins Is Fairly Easy

The farmer said that growing pumpkins is quite easy. The field is leveled and seeded at a distance of one to one and a half feet after it has been ploughed twice or three times. After around forty days, the crop is ready to be sold on the market and a healthy profit may be made.
