Lemon farming: With this Jugaad, the farmer grew 25 crops in one acre
Lemon farming: The Bhal region of Gujarat is known for its wheat cultivation, especially in winter when farmers plant the crop. The region is spread across several districts. Patna village in Vallabhipur taluka of Bhavnagar district is home to the Bhal Panthaks. Farmers here often grow traditional crops such as cotton, jowar, wheat and gram.
A new experiment of natural farming
Pravinbhai Patiwala, a farmer from Patna village, has done a new experiment. He has grown about 25 different vegetable and cereal crops in a one-acre jungle model. The model includes many crops including lemon, guava, custard apple, mango, papaya, dudhi, brinjal and tomato. Castor, beejamrut and jivamrut are among the crops grown using natural fertilizers.
Production of natural farming
“I have studied till class seven,” said Pravinbhai. Earlier I used to do light fitting and plumbing work. I collected data on natural farming throughout the corona period. I have created this model after learning this technique by watching videos on my phone. According to him, some crops have already started growing, and other crops will also start growing soon.
The main crop in the forest model is lemon.
The main crops in the forest model are lemon and lime. Among these crops, other vegetables are also being grown. When a crop is affected by pests or diseases, ten leaf extract is used. No chemical pesticides or fertilizers are used in this approach and it is completely natural.
Production will increase even more in the future.
This strategy has been effective so far, and Pravinbhai hopes that additional crops will be able to be grown soon. Apart from helping the environment, such experiments can help farmers produce more and better.
