Dragon Fruit Cultivation: After taking information from YouTube, the farmer started cultivating this fruit, making huge profits

Dragon Fruit Cultivation: Brajkishore Mehta, a farmer from Chilki Bigha in Kutumba block of Aurangabad district, grows a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. The Agriculture Department has also given the farmer many awards at the state and national levels for this. Brajkishore Mehta, a farmer, has grown dragon fruit this year.

Dragon fruit has been grown in 8 Kattha by farmer Brajkishore Mehta. He conducted this experiment. For this horticulture, he has invested almost two lakh rupees. The farmer said that he learned about the cultivation of dragon fruit via YouTube. The plant was ordered from Chhattisgarh by him.

Two lakh rupees for cultural costs

According to farmer Brajkishore Mehta, growing dragon fruit initially costs more than it makes. A cement pillar is constructed for this every four to five feet. This plant begins to grow with its assistance. This plant takes 14 to 15 months to reach maturity. If the farmer protects it from sunshine, it will produce more. Additionally, each acre is planted with about 400 dragon fruit trees.

The farmer was praised by CM Nitish.

The district’s first strawberry farm was established by farmer Brajkishore Mehta. In order to do this, CM Nitish Kumar visited Chilki village in Amba in 2019 and gave farmer Brajkishore Mehta recognition for growing strawberries. In five acres, the farmer planted about 150 Harman 99 apple plants. In addition to growing grafted tomatoes extensively, the farmer is also making headlines for growing dragon fruit.
