Chilli Cultivation: For farmers, growing chillies has long been a lucrative endeavour. There is a constant need for this crop. In Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, several farmers are now growing green chillies. Many large cities sell these chiles. Every season, thousands of trucks load up with chillies that have been harvested from the farms. This is generating high revenues for farmers. The cultivation of chillies has become a viable source of employment. Rampur-based farmer Pitambar claims to have been growing chiles for a long time. This farming was passed down to him from his grandpa. It is now a reliable source of revenue for him.

Deliveries to Chennai and Kolkata
In an acre of land, farmer Pitambar claims to plant 60–13 different types of green chillies. This cultivar has a strong yield in addition to being ready rapidly. In a season, around 35 quintals of green chillies are produced on his property. After deducting all costs, he makes a profit of almost two lakh rupees every three months after harvesting this crop. In addition, major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Maharashtra, Chennai, and Meerut get their chilli.
Doesn’t spoil easily
The 60-13 chilli type is unique in that it thrives in both hot and cold climates. The market likes it for its size, flavour, and gloss. This kind is particularly simpler to sell since it can travel great distances without spoiling. Nowadays, a large number of Rampur farmers are turning to chilli farming. Even small farmers are finding this farming to be advantageous due to its cheap cost and great profitability.
