Cauliflower cultivation: A similar situation has surfaced in Aurangabad, where hundreds of farmers engage in commercial vegetable farming; however, the weather has impacted vegetable farming, resulting in many farmers’ crops being spoiled. The growers are now compelled to sell over 20 quintals of ready-to-eat cabbage for a pittance. The farmer claimed to have lost millions of rupees this season as a result of having to sell cabbage for just Rs 4 per kg.

In Kunda village of Hasoli Panchayat in the Dev block of the district, farmers Aklu Singh and Ranjay Mehta had grown cabbage on around 3 acres. Of this, more over 20 quintals of cabbage harvest were ready, but because of insects and fungus, no purchasers could be found. According to the farmer, the dealers are buying it for a very cheap price.

Farmers are compelled to sell for Rs 4 per kilogram.

According to farmer Ranjay Mehta, he rents land each year and grows veggies on it. Its cultivation costs almost one lakh rupees in this case, but this time the whole harvest was ruined by an insect assault on the cauliflower blooms. As a result, merchants in the market are purchasing it for Rs 4 per kilogram, which means the crop must be sold for seven times less than the market price.

Thiamethoxam, lambda cyhalothrin, tolfenpyrad, imidacloprid, quinalphos, dithane-45, or indofil are some examples of these medications.
