While providing information, farmer Phoolchand, who lives in Govindpur village in the Lakhimpur area of Uttar Pradesh, said that growing brinjal brings in a lot of money. Prior to this, he sold brinjal in the marketplaces for ₹ 40 per kg, but it is now being sold for ₹ 20 per kg. “A crop of brinjal is currently being prepared in a field of one bigha,” he explains. About 20 to 30 kg of brinjal are produced each day.
