Banana Cultivation: By growing bananas, a young farmer from Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, makes between 4 and 5 lakh rupees a year. Durgesh Kumar, a progressive farmer, claims to have studied all the way up to graduation in an interview with media. He tried his hand at farming since he had no interest in studying. He switched from conventional farming to banana cultivation, which has resulted in an annual turnover of 4 to 5 lakh rupees. Let’s hear this farmer’s tale.
Make money growing bananas
According to Durgesh, he had little interest in studying. When he saw his father, he began growing bananas. Father also engages in traditional banana cultivation. This lowers his expenses and labor costs while increasing his income.
5–6 years of farming
Unlike other farmers, Durgesh did not choose to grow potatoes and onions. He made the decision to try something new. He said that over the last five to six years, growing bananas had increased his profits. Although there are many different kinds of bananas, G9 bananas are particularly beneficial to the environment in Gonda. He is growing nine bananas for this reason.
Making four to five lakh rupees
Growing bananas brings in lakhs for Durgesh. He said that the price is around one lakh rupees. The income increases to 4-5 lakhs at the same period. Selling any crop presents several challenges for farmers, yet selling bananas is one product for which they have no trouble. When the banana is ready, consumers visit the farm to pick it up and get payment.
