Big Housing Schemes: The Yogi government will now assist the development authorities in implementing large housing projects that are tailored to the urban population’s demands. For this, the government has a strategy in place. Schemes would be introduced in cities like Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra, Ghaziabad, and Meerut during the first phase. The development authority will need to submit a land purchase proposal to the government in order to do this. The government will assist the development authority if obtaining land becomes simple.
The land bank containing the majority of the state’s development powers is coming to an end. The development authority is receiving funding from the Housing Department to purchase land. The development authorities will be responsible for returning this money from the projects’ revenue. Up until recently, funds have been allocated for little projects. High-level officials agree that money should be provided to large cities if land is organized there. The Ghaziabad Development Authority has submitted a land purchase request. At the government level, it is being tried. The Ghaziabad Development Authority will get funding for land purchase if the farmers have no objections. The Yogi administration would also distribute plots and apartments as part of the new plans.
