Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited’s managing director, Bhawani Singh Khangarot, said that in order for more farmers to benefit from it, its information should also be posted outside the sub-stations.
As per the proposal, farmer clients would get a free monthly power supply of 140 units per kilowatt starting on April 1, 2023. Although many farmers have benefited from it, a sizable portion of farmers remain.
The whole amount must be paid in six payments

In the event that these farmer users’ power bills are not due until March 31, 2023, they will need to register without making a registration deposit.
Five lakh farmers have benefited from the program
Five lakh farmers in the state have benefited from the program so far. Engineers have been pushing this plan for the last 1.5 years by setting up camps in every community. The procedure will be restarted by the electrical department.
The intention is for the farmer to gain from it and for the government to get the proceeds as well. Consequently, the deadline for using the program has been extended until July 31, 2024.
Every town should promote the program
The Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited’s chairman, Dr. Ashish Goyal, has given the officials and staff instructions to promote the program locally. The sub-stations should have their flag displayed outside of them.
Additionally, leaflets must be sent out to each community to advertise it. Only then will all farmers be allowed to register themselves; this message has to be sent to every farmer via public representatives.
