Solar Pump Scheme: Rajasthan government is giving subsidy to farmers for installing solar pumps, know how to get benefit

Solar Pump Scheme: The government runs a variety of programs to provide farmers with financial advantages. In addition, the government provides farmers financial subsidies to build solar pumps in addition to farming. To help farmers, the Rajasthani government has also launched a solar pump irrigation program in four districts. The government is providing farmers with financial assistance to build pumps under this program.

Benefits will be available in these districts

The Rajasthani government’s program will assist the farmers of Hanumangarh, Sriganganagar, Bikaner, and Anupgarh. The state government’s Water Resources Department will build solar pumps in these four districts to irrigate arid regions. Under the Indira Gandhi Canal Project, this work will be completed.

How much is the government project?

This government initiative would cost about Rs 180 crore. A 60 percent subsidy will be provided to every farmer who installs a solar pump via the scheme. In addition, farmers will be responsible for 40% of the costs. A farmer that is struggling financially might also use a bank loan to construct a solar pump. Farmers are able to borrow up to 30% of their expenditures from the bank.
