What makes this policy unique?

In actuality, a new social media policy has been unveiled by the UP administration. In addition to promoting government programs, this strategy aims to provide young people and social media influencers in the state with a way to earn thousands of rupees each month by endorsing government projects and plans. This legislation will apply to digital sites such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and X (Twitter), which will open up new job prospects.

A wonderful chance for influencers

Social media influencers will get compensation under this program to support government initiatives. What makes social media platforms unique is that influencers are categorized into groups depending on the number of followers and subscribers they have, which determines their maximum earnings.

Instagram, Facebook, and X (Twitter)

– Monthly maximum payment of ₹5 lakh (X)

– Monthly maximum payout of ₹4 lakh (Facebook)

– Monthly maximum payout of ₹3 lakh (Instagram)

– Monthly maximum payout of ₹2 lakh (for less followers)

You Tube

– Monthly maximum payment: ₹8 lakh (for podcasts, videos, and shorts)

– The monthly earnings for other groups are ₹7 lakh, ₹6 lakh, and ₹4 lakh.

Influencers will be required to submit reels, tweets, posts, and videos on government initiatives on social media; “V-Form,” a digital firm, will manage this task. The influencers will get direct money since this firm will oversee the whole process.

What role can you play in it?

You must bear these points in mind if you are a social media influencer and want to benefit from this policy.

Social media account category

First, you need to determine which category your quantity of subscribers or follows fits into. Your revenues will be determined by X, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, each of which has its own category.

Signing up

If you want to participate in this program, you must register using the ‘V-Form’ government-designated agency. You must provide details about your social media accounts, including the amount of followers you have and the kind of material you post.

Content uploading

You must add articles, reels, videos, and podcasts on government programs to your platform after registering. The public must be informed about government programs and their helpful activities via these postings.

Maximum income

Your category will grow along with your following and subscribers, giving you the potential to make up to Rs 8 lakh a month. Content producers on YouTube stand to gain the most from this, given the platform offers them the most revenue opportunities via videos, shorts, and podcasts.

System participants think that all facets of society would profit from this approach, not only social media influencers. This will enable government programs to swiftly and efficiently reach the general populace. Through this strategy, individuals will learn about government benefits, particularly in rural regions where people get less information about government initiatives.

It’s also possible to combat fake news!

This policy’s ability to stop false and misleading news from propagating on social media is another crucial feature. In light of this, the government has established regulations that stipulate that uploading any form of offensive, anti-social, or anti-national material will result in severe consequences. The government will monitor hate speech, false news, and other information that stirs up controversy, and necessary action will be taken.
