Sambhaal Scheme: Unorganized workers are not getting assistance under this scheme
Sambhaal Scheme: The Sambal Yojana in Madhya Pradesh is administered by the labor department. The purpose of this program was to provide unorganized laborers social security. It has a clause that will help Sambal cardholders once they pass away. However, even after more than a year has gone by, many recipients in the Balaghat area are still not receiving any support. Two recipients of this program were contacted by the media. View our exclusive report.
We haven’t yet benefited from the Sambal Yojana.
Nearly a year and a half has elapsed since his mother’s death, Sambal Yojana recipient Amit Gautam informed the reporters. Additionally, his father died a few months after. Both cases were also reported. The application was submitted a long time ago. This initiative was intended to provide the father two lakh rupees and the mother two lakh rupees. However, we have not yet received the money from this plan.
Amit’s narrative and Kashikar’s are identical.
Kashikar Bhalekar, another program recipient, was interviewed by the media. He said that it had been about 15 months after the loss of his wife. Following the loss of my wife, I had applied for the program. However, I did not get the two lakh rupees or the funeral help that was offered under the policy. I reside here alone with my kid. We would have benefited somewhat from this money. We have visited hundreds of workplaces for this. However, we haven’t gotten any assistance. They suggest you will get the money if you continue to monitor your account.
There are several unresolved Sambal cases in the area.
In Balaghat, there are several unresolved Sambal Yojana cases. About 200 cases are still outstanding in Katangi Development Block, according to the scheme relevant official. You can predict the instances across the district in such a scenario. According to an official who spoke on condition of anonymity, the government’s lack of funding is causing the backlog of pending cases to take longer to reach the recipients’ accounts.
It is important to note that this program was launched in 2018. This program’s goal is to provide the disorganized working class social security. The recipients get Rs 5,000 for funeral expenses, Rs 2 lakh for a typical death, and Rs 4 lakh for an accident death.
