According to information provided by the agriculture officer, farmers will get the insurance money if the crop, which was left to dry in the field for 14 days after harvest, is harmed by hailstorms or unseasonable rain.
In addition, even in the event that the actual yield falls short of the threshold yield guaranteed by crop harvesting, the insurance sum is still accessible. In order for the insurance procedure to begin as quickly as possible, farmers must notify the toll-free number 14447 of crop loss within 72 hours.

Wheat, mustard, potatoes, and lentils are among the crops that farmers are guaranteed to grow during the Rabi season. For instance, the farmer must pay a premium of Rs 1,328 and the insured value for a wheat harvest is Rs 88,500 per hectare.

By December 31, 2024, farmers will also need to insure their crops.
