PM Awas Yojana 2.0: The government has started the second phase of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PM Awas Yojana 2.0) if you would want to benefit from it. The Center began the second phase of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY 2.0) with the goal of giving middle-class and economically disadvantaged (EWS) households in urban regions financial support for housing.
The Union Cabinet approved this plan to support middle-class and EWS households in metropolitan areas on August 9, 2024. The government plans to construct one crore new homes as part of PMAY 2.0, with a financial subsidy of Rs 2.50 lakh for each unit. According to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, more than 8.55 lakh of the 1.18 crore homes that were authorized under the previous PMAY Urban phase have been constructed and given to the recipients. Beneficiary-Led Construction (BLC), Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP), Affordable Rental Housing (ARH), and Interest Subsidy Scheme (ISS) are the four categories under which you would get the advantages of this program.
How to apply in PM Awas Yojana 2.0
Under PMAY-U 2.0, the online application procedure for one crore new households has begun. Applications are now available online for those who qualify.
Visit https://pmaymis.gov.in/PMAYMIS2_2024/PmayDefault.aspx to begin the online application process.
After filling out the information, click Apply for PMAY-U 2.0, then choose Proceed and submit.
You will be stopped here if you are not qualified for this.
If you qualify, the next step will need you to submit your name and Aadhaar number. After that, you must choose Generate OTP. The registered mobile number will now get an OTP, which you may input to continue the procedure.
