New subsidy scheme: Maharashtra government started a new subsidy scheme for cow shelters

New subsidy scheme: The upkeep of domestic cows housed in cow shelters will now be covered by a new subsidy program. Each cow would get a daily subsidy of Rs 50 under this arrangement. This plan will be carried out in accordance with a government directive filed with the Maharashtra Gauseva Commission. Enhancing Gaumata’s care and bolstering the cow shelters’ financial standing are the goals of this program.

Institutions that care for and raise cows will benefit from this program. Eligible Gosadan Panjrapol, Cow Protection Organizations, and Gaushalas must apply online for this program by January 5, 2025. Dr. Vishal Yevale, the District Animal Husbandry Deputy Commissioner, provided information in this respect.

Eligibility and the Online Application Process

The website of the Maharashtra Gauseva Commission, www.mahagosevaayog.org and https://schemes.mahagosevaayog.org, provides comprehensive details about this scheme, including its goal, format, terms and conditions of grant eligibility, implementation, online application process, and supporting documentation to be included with it. By January 5, 2025, interested and qualified universities may apply online using the forms provided on these websites. Benefits under this program will only be given to cow shelters and organizations that meet the standards established by the Gauseva Commission.

Specific guidelines for bids

Dr. Vishal Yevale, the Deputy Commissioner of the Animal Husbandry Department, said that applications delivered by email or any other method, as well as suggestions sent directly to the Maharashtra Gauseva Commission office, would not be accepted. Only submissions submitted online will be accepted. In order to prevent any errors or deficiencies, he recommended the institutions to fully comprehend all of the guidelines before applying and said that it would be required to fill out the application accurately.
