Mahila Samriddhi Scheme: The government would provide women in Delhi who are economically disadvantaged with a monthly stipend of Rs 2,500. The Mahila Samridhi Yojana has been authorized by the cabinet. This sum will be deposited into Delhi women’s accounts under this plan. 15 to 20 lakh women in Delhi would benefit from this program.

This benefit would be provided by the Delhi government to women who do not pay taxes and have annual family incomes under Rs 3 lakh in order for these ladies to achieve financial independence. In its platform for the Delhi Assembly elections, the BJP pledged to provide Rs 2,500 per month in cash aid to the capital’s impoverished women. No formal announcement has been made about the registration date. It is anticipated that the date will be revealed shortly.

Women may sign up for this program via an online site that the Delhi government is creating. According to the Indian Express story, a separate piece of software that is being built to determine whether women are qualified for this initiative would verify all of the completed applications. In order to determine the recipients, the government has also requested information from several state ministries.
Who is going to gain from this plan?
- This Rs 2,500 initiative is specifically designed for women who do not pay taxes and whose yearly family income is less than Rs 3 lakh.
- Women between the ages of 18 and 60 who do not have government employment are also eligible to enroll in this program.
- Women who do not get any further financial aid from the government are also covered under this program.
- Prior to applying, the candidate must have lived in Delhi for a minimum of five years.
- The applicant’s Aadhaar number must be connected to a single bank account in Delhi.
- For an income up to Rs 3 lakh annually, an income certificate from the local SDM or another approved Revenue Department official is required.
Which papers are necessary?
Although the list of papers needed to register for the initiative has not yet been officially announced, applicants may need their cellphone number, residency certificate, income certificate, BPL ration card, and Aadhaar card. Additionally, the application and Aadhaar may be connected via the site.
