Dragon Fruit Development Scheme: Nowadays, fitness is a major issue for many individuals. They eat a variety of fruits for this. Among these fruits is dragon fruit, which is grown by the majority of Indian farmers. However, in some areas, dragon fruit is still grown on a very modest scale. In this vein, the Bihar government has introduced the ‘Dragon Fruit Development Scheme’ to encourage the production of this fruit, which would provide farmers in the state with a 40% subsidy.

Crucial details about the plan
- Only farmers with legitimate land papers are eligible to receive benefits.
- Benefits: At a cost of ₹125,000 per acre, a 40% subsidy (help up to ₹50,000) would be provided.
- Beneficiary categories: 78.56% will go to the general category, 20% to the Scheduled Castes, 1.44% to the Scheduled Tribes, and 30% to all women.
- Let us inform you that this initiative is available to farmers in 21 districts of Bihar, including Bhojpur, Gopalganj, Jehanabad, Saran, Siwan, Supaul, and other districts.
How to submit a Dragon Fruit Vikas Yojana application
- The farmer must first register on the DBT website, bihar.gov.in.
- After registering, click “Proceed to Apply” 48 hours later.
- Next, choose the application type and provide the 13-digit DBT registration number.
- Upload the necessary files.
- Save the application number and click Submit.
