The Diggi Grant Scheme: What is it?

Lack of timely rainfall or water availability causes crops to deteriorate in several parts of Rajasthan. Farmers must endure significant financial losses as a result. The Diggi Grant Scheme was put into place by the state government with this issue in mind. Farmers that build Diggi are eligible for government subsidies ranging from 75% to 85% under the program.

How much of a subsidy will be offered?

  • Up to 85% of the building of Diggi would be subsidized for small and marginal farmers, with a maximum of Rs 4 lakh.
  • Farmers in the general category would get subsidies of up to 75%, with a cap of Rs 3 lakh.
