Making thousands of rupees in profits
Considering the expenses associated with growing tomatoes, this district farmer has made a respectable profit. As a result, he has been growing tomatoes for many years and making thousands of rupees in profit. A native of Fatahabad hamlet in the Nawabganj region of the Barabanki district, Shyam Kumar abandoned conventional farming to begin growing tomatoes. He made a healthy profit from this, and he now grows tomatoes in around two bighas. Additionally, he is making almost one lakh rupees in profit from this cultivation.
Grow veggies mostly.
“I primarily grow vegetables, such as peas, spinach, potatoes, tomatoes, etc.,” farmer Shyam Kumar told the journalists. These provide a considerable return when compared to other crops. I now have around two bighas planted with the Sahu kind of tomato. In one bigha, the profit is around one lakh rupees, while the expense is roughly twenty to twenty-five thousand rupees.
Sahu tomatoes produce more fruits because of its high output. Because we use the mulching approach, the crop is healthy and there is less buildup of weeds, illnesses, and other problems.
It is simple to grow.
He goes on to say, “It is very easy to cultivate.” We prepare the nursery first, and then we plow the field. Following the creation of beds and mulching, tomato plants are planted in little pits dug out of the field. The tree is then watered once it has grown a bit. The plant must then be treated with organic insecticides and nutrients to ensure healthy growth and prevent illness. After planting, the crop begins to appear 60 to 70 days later.
