A lot of red bananas contain about 100 bananas as compared to a bunch of yellow bananas. The market price of this banana is Rs 200 for a dozen or Rs 16 for each fruit. If farmers sell it in large quantities, then they can earn a good profit.

There can be more than 600 plants in one acre

Nursery operator Munna Baba says that including the income from red bananas allows for 600-700 banana plants per acre. If 500 bananas are safe, then five-to-seven bunches will come out of one banana tree. Hundred bananas are sold in one bunch and if the wholesale price is Rs 5 per banana, then the farmer will get Rs 500 for each bunch. 2500 bunches will come out from 500 trees. This gives an annual income of 2500×500, from which the farmer can earn 12.50 lakhs. At the same time, even if Rs 4 lakh is deducted in wages and costs, the farmer can still earn a net profit of more than 8 lakhs.

Red soil is good for growing bananas

Banana cultivation is considered best in loamy soil, which has a lot of water. You can plant bananas in moist areas near lakes, rivers, ponds, etc., and they yield a good harvest. The area for banana production should be prepared in such a way that frequent watering is necessary to keep the soil wet. Furthermore, remember that the field should not be waterlogged. Excessive waterlogging can damage the plant’s roots. Red banana growers are earning a lot of money from their crop. Apart from growing it domestically, it is also very popular outdoors.
