The first thing that farmers should do, according to Sunil Katiyar, is to plow the fields that have been unoccupied. If there are any insect larvae, insect offspring, eggs, or other bacteria in the field, this will eradicate them. Friable soil is usually used for growing onions. Its tuber grows as a result. Manure from decaying cow dung is used to make the soil friable. Plough the land after applying cow dung manure, then let it sit for ten days or such. Next, give the plants some care. Plant them in the field after that. In other words, a plant is also treated with Trichoderma when it is moved from one location to another.

In addition, growers use NPK fertilizer for growing onions, as it’s a tuber. Phosphorus and potash are always required for tuber formation. Farmer brothers should be aware that after soil testing, the needs for potassium and phosphorus should be similar and that nitrogen should not be the sole factor considered. It should include 60 kg of complete potash and 120 kg of NPK per acre.
