Peanut Cultivation: Cultivate peanuts in this way, there will be huge profit
Peanut Cultivation: Large-scale peanut farming is practiced by farmers in the Uttar Pradesh district of Etawah, and they benefit from it as well. Farmers in Etawah used to grow urad and moong before peanuts. However, in an effort to boost their revenue, farmers have now given up on growing either crop and have begun growing peanuts. Let me inform you that the Etawah district consists of eight development blocks. Of these, farmers in Basrehar, Badhpura, Maheva, Saifai, and Jaswantnagar cultivate peanuts on a significant scale, with the exception of the Chakarnagar development block.
Use of loamy soil for peanut cultivation
According to RN Singh, the deputy director of the agriculture department, peanuts are cultivated during the Kharif and Zaid crops. Just 200 hectares are used for peanut production during the Kharif season. However, in Zaid, 12,500 hectares or so are used for peanut farming. A quintal of peanuts produced yields an approximate revenue of $7,000 for the farmer. Conversely, producers think that raising peanuts doesn’t need a lot of money. The farmers benefit more from this. According to Deputy Director RN Singh, peanuts grow well on loamy soil. In this soil, there is a higher yield.

Particularly in Etawah, peanut farming is increasingly prevalent. Farmers are making more money as a result of this. Farmers who once farmed pulse crops like moong and urad have now switched to peanut farming. Growing peanuts may provide more profits for farmers at lower costs.
