Paddy Cultivation: Plant paddy in this way at low cost, there will be bumper profit
Paddy Cultivation: In the Jehanabad region, 45,000 hectares of land have been planted with paddy. However, the shortage of moisture has delayed seeding. Paddy has been grown by farmers with the use of fuel and power for irrigation. But since the wrong technology is being used, the yield is decreasing. In this context, several significant suggestions have been made to help farmers boost their profit margin while cutting costs.
The right way to cultivate paddy
1. Raising healthy seedlings: Improving paddy farming begins with the development of healthy seedlings. Good farming starts with healthy seedlings, according to Krishi Vigyan Kendra Gandhar’s crop scientist, Dr. Manoj Kumar. To boost their production, farmer brothers should be instructed in the right way to prepare seedlings.
2. Appropriate use of soil: For paddy farming, it’s critical to understand the physical, organic, and chemical components of soil. They may raise the crop’s quality when applied in the right amounts. exclusively a small percentage of farmers have used organic fertilizers so far; the majority have exclusively used chemical fertilizers. Applying fertilizer should be done in accordance with the soil test findings.
3. Maintain appropriate spacing: It’s critical to maintain appropriate spacing between two plants while transplanting paddy. Plants that are planted too near to one another suffer from reduced bud count and smaller ears, as well as decreased productivity. Therefore, it is important to keep a safe distance and heed the advice of the scientific community while transplanting.
4. Apply the right fertilizer: 45–50 kg of DAP, 25–30 kg of potash, and 70–75 kg of urea may be applied to an acre of land if the soil hasn’t been examined. To use urea, follow these three steps:
15% to 20% urea while preparing the ground.
Thirty days after paddy transplanting, 30% urea.
20–25% of the remaining urea after 70–60 days.
5. Preservation of the soil and environment: Overuse of urea lowers yields and harms the ecology. Thus, to boost production, apply fertilizers in accordance with the idea and make use of scientific methods. Make sure the soil stays healthy and the product is robust and of the highest quality.
