Paddy Crop: The problem of mites has become fatal for the rice crop, spray insecticides
Paddy Crop: Farmers growing paddy in Chhattisgarh, also known as the rice bowl, have various challenges. Kharif paddy crop is ready in the state nowadays. Farmers are pretty concerned before this. Actually, the likelihood of a pest invasion in the rice crop has grown. Starting to show up in paddy ears is an issue known as panicle mite. It is known also as red spider. Farmers find great anxiety about its invasion. Normal eyes cannot see this spider, but it consumes the crop just when the milk pouring in the ears.
Mite problems are now affecting Chhattisgarh farmers, according to Indira Gandhi Agricultural University Raipur’s agricultural expert Dr. Gajendra Chandrakar. For the last three-four years, this issue has been growing somewhat steadily. It is not visible to ordinary eyes and does not fit the definition of an insect. With 20X or 40X lens, it is clear-cut. It gives the paddy grain clouds.
Like fungus, this illness destroys farmer output. Its onslaught causes the milk to not reach the ears fullness. This causes rather quick harm to the crop. To this end, the mite may be managed by field spraying propiconazole, dicofol, ethion, hexathiazox, spiromesifene.
Farmer brothers should conduct one spray at the tillering stage even when applying insecticides. One application at the stage before the ear appears will help to save and manage the mite. Furthermore important for preventive is if this issue existed previous year as well. Should this occur, it falls in the Vipron zone. Small spider-like insects are seen as a precaution if you search in the dark with the mobile’s light in the shadowed region; thus, know that the mite has attacked it.
