According to Dr. Mukul Kumar, a specialist in plant protection, growing onions organically not only increases their nutritional value but also protects them from pests and illnesses.

Your crop might be protected using home cures

According to the plant protection specialist, you may apply a buttermilk and turmeric solution to your onion field if you’d like. According to him, this may fortify onion roots. Mix 50 grams of turmeric with two liters of buttermilk to make a solution, then spray it once a week. According to him, it protects the onion from bacteria, fungi, and other illnesses and has an antibacterial impact on the crop.

Ginger and garlic may be beneficial to you

According to Dr. Mukul Kumar, you may enhance your onion production by using ginger and garlic juice. Their juice may be highly beneficial in defending the crop against illnesses and pests carried by insects. For this, he advised grinding 500 grams of ginger and garlic, adding 5 liters of water, and letting it sit for a whole day. This solution should then be filtered before being sprayed over the crop. By eliminating the pests that damage the crop, this natural insecticide will encourage the development of onions.

Cow manure will improve the quality of your crop

According to Dr. Mukul Kumar, a specialist in plant protection, using cow dung and jaggery together may improve your crop. As a result, the earth becomes more fertile. He advised making a solution with cow dung and jaggery for this. In 5 kg of fresh cow dung, combine 500 grams of jaggery and 20 liters of water. Ferment for 3–4 days. Pour this solution onto the field after that. By increasing the quantity of microorganisms in the soil, this organic fertilizer will strengthen onion roots and improve the size of their tubers.
