Mustard Crop: Use this fertilizer while sowing mustard, there will be bumper production

Mustard Crop: Even though October is thought to be a great month to plant mustard, the primary oilseed crop, the paddy crop’s harvest was postponed this time. Additionally, the weather is now becoming colder than it should have in October. Farmers may also plant mustard in November under such circumstances. Fertilizer should be used while mustard is being sown in order to provide the crop the nutrients it needs to produce well and to boost the quantity of oil in the seeds.

According to Dr. Nutan Verma, Krishi Vigyan Kendra Niyamatpur’s Plant Disease Expert, fertilizer is necessary for every crop to produce well. Oilseed crops need require sulfur in particular. When sulfur is added to mustard crops, the plants become robust and healthy. The plants produce an increasing number of pods, and inside the pods, more grains are created. The oil content of mustard seeds rises. Farmers produce well.

What is the recommended amount of sulfur?

Knowing when and how much sulfur to use in mustard crops is also crucial for farmers. Farmers who are now planting mustard should apply 10 kg of bentonite sulfur, or granular sulfur, per acre, according to Dr. Nutan Verma.

After 30 to 35 days, spray.

Farmers who planted mustard in October but were unable to use sulfur for any reason may also apply sulfur during the first watering of the mustard crop. In other words, you may spray one acre of mustard with one kilogram of sulfur powder when the crop is thirty to thirty-five days old. Mustard plants achieve this by absorbing sulfur via their leaves.
