There is a risk of numerous diseases in gram and pea crops, according to Dr. Arvind Kumar, an agricultural scientist at ISECT University in Taraba Kharwa, Hazaribagh, who was asked by Media Jharkhand which disease is most likely to affect these crops and how farmers should treat them. Farmers suffer significant losses as a result of the illness. In many cases, recovering the capital seems to be challenging.

Additionally, recovery is challenging.

He said that gram and pea crops are more at danger for wilt and powdery mildew. When discussing Wilt disease symptoms, the leaves begin to quickly dry up and eventually turn brown. Then they go dark. In this case, the tree’s leaves do not fall. The plant dies within a week as a result of this rapid process. The disease has the potential to spread from one plant to another. In contrast, Powdery Mildew causes a white, dust-like coating to develop on the plant’s leaves, stems, and flowers.

He said that farmers should first identify the afflicted plants, remove them, and bury them away from the fields in order to cure the disease. Spraying medications like Cancer, Hexa, and Azozole may help prevent powdery mildew sickness.
