According to farmer Vivek Mehta, cultivation of parsnips gives more profit. This vegetable, grown from October to November, gets ready in 50-60 days. It can also be cultivated in winter and summer. According to the farmer, drip irrigation system has also been installed for the production of parsnips and the district is giving subsidy for agricultural garden pipe.
At the same time, the cost of its establishment has come to about three lakh rupees. This technique does not waste water and the crop gets sufficient water on time. Farmers can grow this crop in both summer and winter. However, its production is affected in the summer season.
Production is 25 quintals per acre
According to the farmer, more money is spent on irrigation, planting, harvesting and plowing in the cultivation of beans. However, it also generates income. About 25 quintals of beans are produced per acre. Apart from this, beans have a good demand in the market. The farmer told that cultivating it on about two bighas of land gives a yield of two and a half to three lakh rupees. One does not have to worry about selling it. Local traders take the beans from the field itself.
