Through this farming, he is making millions of rupees.
Lunkaran Verma, a farmer in Kasari village, began cultivating bananas by planting plants on 2.5 acres of land. He said that growing bananas brings in a lot of money for him. When insecticides, fertilizers, and water are used correctly during cultivation, the crop’s quality rises.
Making lakhs by growing bananas
Carefully transplanted into the field, banana plants are carried in from outside. In a year, these plants begin to yield fruit. Every tree yields between five and ten kilograms of bananas, which growers sell for a healthy profit. Bananas cost between ₹ 15 and ₹ 20 per kilogram at the market.
Being mindful of other farmers
These days, the farmers in Kasari village are inspiring other farmers to grow bananas. Many farmers believe that growing bananas requires a lot of water, but Lunakaran Verma has shown that a satisfactory harvest can be produced with less water if the right conditions are met. He is educating other farmers about this agricultural method and encouraging them to use it.
