Ayushman Vaya Vandana Yojana: The Delhi government on Monday launched the Ayushman Vaya Vandana Yojana. Under this initiative, all individuals aged 70 years or above living in Delhi will get free medical facilities up to Rs 10 lakh. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri gave the first Ayushman Vaya Vandana card to the beneficiaries during a program in the capital. Under this initiative, the Central Government (Ayushman Vaya Vandana Yojana) and the Delhi Government will jointly pay medical expenses of Rs 5-5 lakh annually. This gives a person medical coverage of Rs 10 lakh annually.

Every enrolled senior citizen will get a health card
All senior citizens enrolled under the Ayushman Vaya Vandana Yojana will be issued a health card. This card will safely store their complete medical history, regular check-up information, and emergency service contact information. Under this program, all medical checkups will be provided free of cost for Delhi residents aged 70 years or above. “Serving the elderly is our top priority,” the office of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta had earlier said in a social media post. Senior citizens aged 70 years or above can now get medical coverage of up to Rs 10 lakh from the Center and the Delhi government. What paperwork is required for a health card?
Registration under Ayushman Vaya Vandana Yojana requires a passport-size photograph, a valid cellphone number linked to Aadhaar, and an Aadhaar card. Please keep in mind that you must be a Delhi resident to participate in this program. According to Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, apart from all BJP MLAs and councillors, registration under the program is also being planned in DM and SDM offices. After registration, the beneficiaries will get their health cards.
