Actually, Palamu and the neighboring areas experience extreme cold from December 15 to January 15. The crops might get frost during this period. Farmers may irrigate their crops to safeguard them in such a scenario. In addition, they may spray medication on them to keep them safe from frost.

Frost damages these Rabi crops more than other crops.

Dr. Pramod Kumar, an agricultural expert, informed the media that the period from December 15 to January 15 is when the coldest temperatures occur. Dew droplets begin to shine on the grass at this period, and in the fields and crops, they turn into ice. As a result, the leaves of potatoes, tomatoes, and pigeon peas begin to crack; this phenomenon is often referred to as frost. This causes the leaves to become black and prevents photosynthesis from occurring. This halts the plants’ development.

Farmers ought to use these techniques.

The agricultural expert said that losses of millions of rupees might be averted by paying 50 to 100 rupees to stop this. Farmers may employ market-available medications such as Indofil M45, Dithane M45, and Indofil Z78, which can be sprayed on fields by combining 2.5 grams with one liter of water. These medications have a 12- to 15-day half-life. It alleviates the crops’ frost-related problems.
