Capsicum cultivation: Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur farmers have experimented with a novel crop. Farmers are now cultivating this crop to make money. According to farmer Satyajit Kushwaha, who spoke to the media, capsicum has not yet been grown in the area. In the past, just a small number of farmers grew it. However, more and more farmers are growing it presently.

According to Satyajit, capsicum plants are planted in July. But it’s being harvested now. Maintain a 1.5-foot gap between plants and a 1-meter gap between rows when planting.

According to Satyajit, Chhatarpur has black and loamy soil. In addition, a blend of loamy and black soil is seen. In our industry, we have a variety. Black dirt works well for growing capsicum. But climate is just as important as soil. Although it may be grown here in the winter, the environment is not conducive to capsicum cultivation.

Pesticides are sprayed in eight days, according to farmers. After plucking, immediately spray insecticides. After 8 days, apply insecticides.

Capsicum production is thus high.

According to Satyajit, one plant can presently yield 2.5 kg of capsicum. Another 2.5 kilogram will be generated after 8 days. Additionally, capsicum is reasonably priced on the market. Each kilogram of capsicum costs between 60 and 80 rupees.
