Crop Insurance Scheme: If stray animals damage crops, farmers should avail the benefits of this scheme
Crop Insurance Scheme: For the farmer, the crop is often everything, and when the son of the soil plants it in his field, he is just as excited about it as he is about it becoming destroyed. The farmer is unable to get the full compensation for his labors since the crop is sometimes harmed by animals and occasionally by weather variations.
According to GL Kumawat, joint director of the agriculture department, the district’s crop insurance may be handled by the Agriculture Insurance Company. Five percent for isabgol and one and a half percent for other crops have been set as the insurance premium amounts. The state and federal governments will provide a subsidy to cover the remaining premium.
Here is all the information.
According to GL Kumawat, Joint Director of Agriculture Extension, amla, brinjal, cauliflower, garlic, guava, lemon, mango, and tomato may also be covered under the redesigned weather-based crop insurance program. The advantages of this program will be instantly available to farmers who have obtained a Kisan Credit Card. In order to withdraw from this program, Kisan Credit Card members who do not want to participate must submit a formal application to their bank by December 25.
If the farmer has planted a crop different than the one listed on the credit card, he may tell the bank about it by December 29. This will provide for insurance coverage of the sowed crop in the event of crop failure. If farmers who do not have a Kisan Credit Card like to participate in this program, they may get insurance via the crop insurance site, CSC, and bank.
The prize will go to advanced agriculture.
The Krishak Yojana program, which aims to promote organic farming among farmers, has a deadline of December 31 for applications. The Agriculture Department awards the farmers who apply with an incentive of around one lakh rupees. In the area, there are around 1500 organic growers. It will only include farmers who meet the qualifying requirements. The department has asked farmers to submit offline applications.
In the district, organic farming is practiced in over 60 clusters under the Agriculture Department. Around 1000 hectares of land are used for organic farming, according to the department. The initiative, which is ongoing since the designated year, will include farmers.
