Bima Sakhi Scheme: The Life Insurance Corporation of India continues to provide insurance plans for all demographics. A minimum payout of Rs 7000 per month is now available to women under a new policy launched by the government insurance corporation. This program was introduced on Monday by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) launched the Bima Sakhi program with the intention of empowering women financially.
In order to enable rural women the chance to become insurance agents, make a living, and raise awareness of insurance in rural regions, the Bima Sakhi plan aims to recruit 100,000 Bima Sakhis in a year. In addition to giving rural women additional sources of income, the LIC Bima Sakhi program is anticipated to expand access to insurance in underserved regions of India.
LIC’s project seeks to empower women and further the larger objective of financial inclusion by fusing social welfare with corporate expansion. The program is intended for women who have completed at least Class 10 and are between the ages of 18 and 70. As part of its campaign for women’s empowerment, LIC intends to enroll 100,000 Bima Sakhis in the next year and 200,000 Bima Sakhis in three years.
Unique Elements of the Plan
In addition to the commission received from the sale of policies, women who take part in the program will get a set stipend for the first three years.
Women’s monthly salary is expected to start at Rs 7,000.
People would earn Rs 7,000 per month for the first year.
In the second year, the monthly compensation would drop to Rs 6,000.
By the third year, the sum will drop to Rs 5,000.
Women will get extra commission-based rewards if they meet or surpass sales goals.
This system grants freedom to work. Agents will also get training from LIC. Women who sign up for the program will benefit from specialized training and three years of financial literacy assistance.
Insurance for graduation Sakhis will have the chance to work as LIC agents and could even qualify for a position as a development officer in the organization.
Who is eligible to apply?
For this program, women who are 18 to 50 years old may apply. Women from rural regions will be given precedence, and a 10th grade diploma is the minimum requirement. Current agents’ and workers’ relatives will not be eligible for this program.
