According to Dr. Puneet Kumar Pathak, the district horticulturist, farmers produce an abundance of cauliflower. However, the Diamond Black Moth is an insect that farmers must keep away from the cauliflower crop. In its early stages, this bug consumes the cabbage plant’s leaves. As a result, the plant stops growing and 80–90% of the yield is destroyed. In order to protect the crop from this bug, farmers may also use natural and DIY solutions.

The best option is the trap crop formula.

To protect the cauliflower crop against the Diamond Black Moth bug, farmers might use trap crop formula. The boundaries of the field where cauliflower is grown should be lined with mustard plants. Insects will be drawn to the mustard plants and away from the cauliflower plants as a result. There will be no harm to the cauliflower crop.

Manage it naturally.

Farmers may also take organic remedies if the Diamond Black Moth is damaging the cauliflower crop and symptoms are apparent in the early stages. Neem seed kernel extract (NSKE) at 2% or 4% is available to farmers. In addition to controlling the pest, this will preserve the quality of the cauliflower. In the market, organically cultivated cauliflower will likewise fetch a premium price.
