Jharkhand Irrigation Scheme: Many farmers lack adequate irrigation systems, which prevents them from cultivating all year round even with vast tracts of land. Their fields are usually left empty. The Jharkhand government is offering solar pump sets on subsidy under the Kisan Samridhi Yojana in an effort to support agriculture in the state and help farmers with this issue.

Irrigation is a major issue in Jharkhand, Koderma District Agriculture Officer Ravi Shankar Varnwal told the reporters. Rain is the primary source of agriculture in this area. The crop that spoils as it waits for rain will suddenly be perceived to be thriving. The Jharkhand government is providing individual farmers with a 2 HP solar pump set and farmers as a group with a 5 HP solar pump set under the Kisan Samridhi Yojana.
Neither the inconvenience of costly diesel nor electricity
He said that the Jharkhand government is providing farmers with up to 90% financial assistance for the installation of solar pumps as part of this program. The farmer should have water sources such as ponds, rivers, and wells. The solar pump set’s greatest benefit is that it will relieve farmers of the need for costly fuel and electrical connections. Farmers may get in touch with their block’s Assistant Technical Manager (ATM) and Block Technical Manager (BTM) to take advantage of the program’s advantages.
