Double the profit would be made at a cost of Rs 1.25 lakh.

Farmers are being encouraged to grow strawberries by the district’s horticulture department. In this case, the department has initiated the farmer selection process. They will profit from the plan according to the principle of “first come, first served.” This allows them to grow strawberries more profitably at a lower cost. The cost of growing strawberries is around Rs 1.25 lakh per acre, with the horticulture department providing a 50% subsidy. In other words, by investing half the cost, farmers will be able to make twice as much money.

Technology is being used by farmers.

The government is making every effort to encourage farmers to abandon old agricultural practices and engage in modern farming techniques in order to boost their revenue. Because of this, young farmers are becoming more interested in scientific farming and abandoning traditional farming. The majority of farmers in rural regions only cultivate wheat and rice, but as time goes on, more and more farmers are using technology, which is causing changes in the agricultural industry.

Up to two lakhs of rupees may be earned per acre.

Farmers that grow strawberries may earn between ₹1 lakh and ₹2 lakh per acre annually. The district has set a goal of growing one hectare of strawberries under the National Agricultural Development Scheme, District Horticulture Officer Harishankar Ram informed the reporters. Through Jan Seva Kendra and the department, farmers may apply for this. Only after receiving confirmation from the District Horticulture Office will farmers be chosen.
