OTS Scheme: The Power Corporation owes 58348 customers in all four of the city’s sub-stations a total of Rs 373 crore under the OTS system. The power company aims to collect Rs 248 crore after deducting Rs 107 crore from the surcharge. The OTS program for bill defaulters will be put into effect on December 15, 2024, according to a directive issued by the Power Corporation on Saturday. Up to January 31, it will operate in three stages.

How to take use of OTS

Consumers must register in order to participate in the program.

A lump sum payment discount of up to 100% will be offered during the first phase. The scheme’s advantages may be obtained by consumers via www.uppcl.org, the public service center, or the registration departmental section/subdivision office. To register, you will need to provide your most recent power bill and cellphone number. In addition, collection agencies would get particular incentives for collecting money from customers who have not paid or have not paid for a long time.
