You may grow these types of maize.

According to agricultural expert Ram Ishwar Prasad, the Rabi season is when maize crops may produce more. It is essential to thoroughly prepare the field’s soil before planting maize during this season. According to the scientist, the land is typically plowed once or twice.

If there isn’t enough moisture, irrigate the land to get it ready. Farmers may plant enhanced kinds of Rabi corn, such as hybrid maize-HQPM-1, Seedtech-2324, KH-5991, Amber-Popcorn, and VL Sweet corn for green corn, or amber popcorn For fodder, use the Madhuri sweetcorn, Priya sweetcorn, and J-1006 African Tall corn types. At the same time, corn may be sown in very cold climates using GK 3150 hybrid and Shalimar corn hybrid 4 seeds.

Take these steps to address infections that are spread by seeds.

20–22 kg of seeds may be used per hectare to plant corn during the Rabi season. This may produce between 85,000 and 90,000 plants per acre. However, before to planting, seeds must be purified. Maintain a 60 cm gap between rows and a 20–25 cm gap between plants.

Before being sowed, seeds should be treated with 2.5 grams of Thiram or 2 grams of Carbendazim 50% per kilogram of seed in order to avoid seed-borne illnesses. Use 150 kg of nitrogen, 75 kg of phosphorus, 60 kg of potash, and 40 kg of sulfur for hybrid maize. In contrast, each hectare of composite maize may utilize 120 kg of nitrogen, 60 kilogram of phosphate, 40 kg of potash, and 30 kg of sulfur.

After 20 to 25 days after seeding, do the initial weeding.

According to agricultural expert Ram Ishwar Prasad, 25 kg of zinc sulfate must be put to the soil prior to planting if there is a zinc shortage. The initial weeding should be done 20 to 25 days after maize is sown. By doing this, weeds won’t grow in the field. If there is any further delay, the weeds will eat the nutrients and prevent the plant from growing. Likewise, 25–30 days after seeding, the initial irrigation should be carried out. 87 kg of urea per hectare should be used for top dressing when the plant reaches knee height, which should happen 30 to 35 days after planting.
