Guava Cultivation: This variety of guava gives more profit in less time

Guava Cultivation: From growing fruits and vegetables, young farmers in the Aurangabad area make millions of rupees a month. The Taiwan guava hybrid variety, which yields higher profits in less time, is being grown in two bighas by farmer Vishnu Mehta, who lives in Anjaniya in the Kutumba block of the Aurangabad district.

Vishnu Mehta, a farmer, stated that in addition to his academics, he was seeking work. He was also managing a library for this, but it was challenging to manage the house and the library. On the recommendation of a relative, he then turned his attention to farming. The farmer said that a cousin had informed him that growing guavas may bring him millions of rupees. Let me tell you that the farmers in this region exclusively practice traditional farming, but I am the only one that grows guava in two bighas throughout the entire block.

Each bigha yields eleven quintals.

According to the young farmer, 500 pieces of guava have been planted in two bighas, and the Taiwan guava orchard has been established at a cost of Rs 280 each. This kind of guava is unique in that it will be ready to produce fruit in four to five months. For this, guava is grown using urea and DAP potash fertilizer. This guava produces fruit three times a year, let us inform you. About 7 to 8 quintals of fruit are produced at a time, according to the young farmer, whereas 22 to 24 quintals of guava are produced annually.

Up to 50% profit

Let us inform you that this guava is in great demand in the market. The market sells this guava, which is available quickly, in large quantities for up to Rs 3300 per quintal before selling for up to Rs 60 per kilogram. It is purchased by traders from several neighboring districts, notably Aurangabad district.
