In order to encourage the development of dragon fruit, the department is offering farmers financial support via a number of programs, according to District Horticulture Officer Puneet Kumar Pathak. The agency has established a goal to expand the crop’s region, and in order to encourage additional farmers to participate in the program, publicizing is also being done. The Rs 30,000 grant payment under this initiative is put straight into the farmers’ accounts during the first year and the following two years. Farmers must register with the Horticulture Department in order to get the benefits of the program. Aadhar card, bank passbook, Khatauni, and two pictures are needed for this.

Due to their unique disease resistance, dragon fruit plants significantly lower the crop’s risk of illness. This explains why insecticides for these plants are similarly inexpensive. In addition, this plant is prickly, which prevents stray animals from damaging it. Farmers may rely on the plant to produce for 25 to 30 years after planting. High-quality fruits that fetch a premium price on the market may be produced by plants that get regular maintenance. This crop is very simple to handle in terms of water, and it may be grown well with less water.
